The concept of the evil eye is widely recognized in Islam and many cultures around the world. It refers to the harm or misfortune that may be caused by jealousy, envy, or negative glances from others. Islam acknowledges the reality of the evil eye and provides believers with spiritual methods of protection to safeguard themselves and their families.

One of the strongest protections against the evil eye is reciting Qur’anic verses and supplications. Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas are particularly recommended for seeking Allah’s refuge from harm. The practice of reading Ayat al-Kursi and making daily duas for protection is also highly emphasized. Parents often recite these verses over their children to shield them from envy and hidden dangers.

Other prophetic traditions include saying “Masha’Allah” when admiring something to prevent envy, and using Ruqyah & umrah packages (Islamic healing prayers) for protection. Some cultures also use symbolic items like charms or amulets, but Islamic & umrah package by bus from Abu Dhabi  teachings encourage relying mainly on Allah’s words and remembrance (dhikr) as the most effective protection. Ultimately, faith, trust in Allah, and consistent remembrance serve as the strongest shield against the evil eye.
